The meeting guards and endsheets are Nideggan paper decorated with suminagashi.
Sewn all along on four Ramieband tapes using 25/3 linen thread.
Bound in black calfskin with the fore edges of the boards covered with cow stomach.
The calfskin was decorated overall with palladium leaf.
Lines were impressed in the surface of the leather using a bone folder.
