Design binding on:

Shakespeare’s Sonnets, Portland, ME: Thomas B. Mosher, 1901.

The original volume was disbound and washed in de-ionized water,
then the leaves were re-sized with methyl cellulose.
Folds were mended with kozo paper and wheat starch paste.
Egyptian Tow Flax paper endsheets with black goatskin hinges.
Edges untrimmed.
Sewn on on polyester tapes with linen thread.
Front bead silk headbands.
Bound in scarf-joined goatskin and calfskin, with onlaid lines of calfskin and kidskin.
Titled in gold on the spine.
